It’s a great pleasure and immense pride to address you for the 2nd Convention of HISSAN Bagmati, scheduled for 6th Chaitra, 2081. I had the privilege of serving as the Joint Secretary of HISSAN Bagmati for the past two years and I am honored to conduct a retrospective analysis of our collective trajectory and extend my best wishes to the incoming leadership that will be entrusted with the operational and strategic stewardship of this organization.

These two years’ work tenure has been a period of growth, learning, and achievement for HISSAN Bagmati. Despite of facing numerous challenges, particularly in funds management for the first time, we persevered and successfully organized a variety of impactful activities. One of our initial hurdles that we faced was lack of necessary resources to properly execute the events and programs mandated by the central authorities but we overcame these obstacles and achieved remarkable milestones through collaboration and innovation

We successfully conducted a leadership training program in Nagarkot with the support of BON Holidays and College Readers, and contributions from our committee members. This event was graced by Ramesh Kumar Silwal, President; Central HISSAN; who provided invaluable leadership training and guidance. We also conducted an accounting training session at Yak & Yeti Hotel, emphasizing on financial transparency, disciplined tax planning, and proper record-keeping to enhance essential skills for organizational growth.

In our pursuit of integrating technology into education, we organized an AI & Chat GPT Seminar at The Malla Hotel, supported by Sharda University, India. This event explored the transformative potential of AI-based tools in education, highlighting advancements in IoT, deep learning, and machine learning. Such initiatives have positioned HISSAN Bagmati at the forefront of educational innovation.

We also partnered with College Readers to host a nationwide quiz competition for +2 level students, which proved to be a resounding success. This event not only assessed the learning levels of students across Nepal but also identified areas for improvement in our education system.

To sustain our activities, we focused on income generation through creative initiatives. One of our most successful projects was the creation of a unique academic calendar featuring HISSAN’s activities, which was distributed to over 500 institutions. Additionally, the publication and sale of NEB Question Banks provided a steady stream of income, enabling us to expand our reach and organize more events.

With the funds generated, we extended our activities to districts like Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur, ensuring broader participation and impact. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering guidance of our President, Bhawani Prasad Paudel, whose mentorship has been instrumental in our success.

As we gather for the 2nd Convention, I urge all HISSAN member schools and colleges to actively participate and contribute to its success. This convention marks a new chapter for HISSAN Bagmati, and your involvement is crucial in shaping its future.
