Kathmandu, October 3, 2026: Model Institute of Technology (MIT) is all set to host MIT Extravaganza 2026, a flagship student entertainment event designed to bring together music, dance, student talent, food, and interactive experiences under one roof.

Organized by the Student Quality Circle (SQC), a student cell of MIT, the event will take place on October 3, 2026 (Ashoj 17, 2083) from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Alice Receptions, Gairidhara, Kathmandu, with an expected audience of 1,200–1,500 students and young adults.

The main highlight of the event will be a live musical performance by popular artist Sabin Rai & The Pharaohs. The band performance by Symphonic Samrajya will also be one of the event’s special attractions. In addition, the event will feature solo, duo, and group performances by MIT students, along with dance performances, food and beverage stalls, merchandise and promotional stalls, various sponsor activities, interactive entertainment, and audience-participation programs, SQC Coordinator Nishant Ghimire informed.

Designed as a pre-Dashain celebration, MIT Extravaganza 2026 aims to provide students with an opportunity to come together, celebrate their creativity, and create memorable experiences before the Dashain vacation. The program will be structured throughout the day, building audience engagement toward the headline musical performances and grand finale. This year marks the second edition of the event. The event continues the momentum of MIT Extravaganza 2025, which brought together students for a day of music, performances, entertainment, and celebrity interactions. The previous edition featured performances by Prashna Chinna and The Pine Canopy, along with student talent, dance, food, and entertainment.

With its combination of professional musical performances, student creativity, entertainment, food, and interactive experiences, MIT Extravaganza 2026 aims to build on this journey and establish itself as an annual celebration that the MIT community can look forward to each year.
