Sudarshan Jamakatel | Member, HISSAN Bagmati
Since its inception, HISSAN Bagmati has been at the forefront of both policy-making and organizational growth, striving to uplift the private education sector through strategic initiatives. Our commitment has been demonstrated through leadership training programs, workshops, and interactive sessions that foster a spirit of unity and collaboration among members. However, as we navigate the evolving educational landscape, we must recognize that our success depends on selecting capable leaders who can address the challenges ahead with vision, determination, and innovation.
One of the most urgent areas requiring attention is the alignment of our education system with the demands of a rapidly changing world. The future belongs to those who are equipped with critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and digital literacy. Our curriculum must evolve beyond traditional methods to ensure that students receive an education that prepares them for global opportunities. This includes integrating practical learning experiences such as internships, entrepreneurship programs, and industry partnerships. By making education more relevant to real-world needs, we can encourage students to envision a future within Nepal, contributing to national development rather than seeking opportunities abroad.
The true measure of our success lies not just in policies and programs but in the ability of our leadership to drive meaningful change. We stand at a critical juncture where our collective decisions will determine the trajectory of HISSAN and private education in Nepal. Strong leadership is not merely about holding positions—it is about the willingness to take responsibility, make tough decisions, and create sustainable solutions that benefit all stakeholders. Leaders must be forward-thinking, adaptable, and committed to fostering an education system that meets global standards while remaining rooted in our national values.
As we gather for the 2nd HISSAN Bagmati Convention, I extend a warm welcome to all delegates. Your participation underscores the shared commitment to advancing education and ensuring that HISSAN remains a pillar of strength for institutions across the region. This convention is more than a meeting—it is a defining moment to reflect on our achievements, confront pressing challenges, and set a course for a brighter future in education.
Now, more than ever, we need leaders who possess not only the expertise but also the integrity and resilience to guide us through complex challenges. The choices we make today will shape the future of our students, our institutions, and our nation. Let us come together with a shared purpose, identify and support those with the capability to lead, and ensure that HISSAN continues to thrive as a force for educational excellence.
With unity, collaboration, and a strong sense of purpose, we can overcome any obstacle and drive lasting progress. I urge each of you to actively engage, contribute valuable insights, and take this opportunity to strengthen HISSAN’s role in shaping the future of private education in Nepal. Together, we can build an education system that not only meets today’s needs but also lays a strong foundation for generations to come. I extend sincere thanks to the organizing committee for the smooth transition and well wishes to the aspiring leaders.
