Top-performing students from 19 institutions and their parents were honored.

Deputy Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Manjali Shakya attended the ceremony as chief guest, while HISSAN Central President Yuvraj Sharma was the special guest.

The event was attended by HISSAN Senior Vice-President Prof. Dr. Swagat Shrestha; Central Academic Council member Dr. Shiva Datt Gyawali; Central Vice-President and Chief Adviser to HISSAN Lalitpur Dr. Rishi Tiwari; General Secretary Ram Hari Silwal; Central Secretary Bhawani Prasad Paudel; Bagmati Province President Raj Kumar Acharya; Kathmandu District President Gopiraj Parajuli; and HISSAN Lalitpur Adviser Tirtha Prasad Pokharel.

Welcoming the participants, HISSAN Lalitpur Vice-President Sharad Neupane said the programme was organized to recognize students’ academic achievements and encourage them to pursue even greater success.

HISSAN General Secretary Ram Hari Silwal said Nepal has many institutions capable of providing quality education. He stressed the need to create an environment that encourages students to complete at least their undergraduate education in Nepal before considering studying abroad.

Dr. Rishi Tiwari described students as valuable national assets and highlighted the important contribution young people can make to Nepal’s progress and prosperity. He encouraged them to use their knowledge and abilities in nation-building.

HISSAN Central President Yuvraj Sharma said recognizing academic success gives students additional motivation and positive energy. Congratulating the award recipients, he wished them continued achievement and a bright future.

Deputy Mayor Shakya said Lalitpur Metropolitan City has maintained continuous cooperation with educational institutions in the city. She noted that the metropolitan authority has been honoring students who achieve outstanding examination results with cash awards.

Lalitpur Metropolitan City will explore scholarships for students pursuing higher education.

Shakya said the city would also consider initiatives to provide scholarship opportunities for higher-education students.

The ceremony was chaired by HISSAN Lalitpur President Dr. Ganesh Kumar Shrestha. In his closing remarks, he congratulated the students, parents and educational institutions. He also reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to continuing programmes that recognize achievement and encourage academic excellence.

Speaking on behalf of the honored institutions, Omega International College Principal Ramesh Adhikari called for greater unity among educational institutions to strengthen Lalitpur’s academic identity. He said cooperation would be essential to developing Lalitpur as a leading education hub.

HISSAN Lalitpur Treasurer and Acting Secretary Kishor Adhikari conducted the programme, which drew significant participation from students, parents, educators and representatives of educational institutions.
