Birgunj Public College Launches In-House ERP–LMS Platform to Advance Digital Education

BIRGUNJ, October 1 — Birgunj Public College (BPC) formally launched its Enterprise Resource Planning and Learning Management System (ERP–LMS) on Thursday, marking a step toward expanding digital education and modernising academic administration.

The platform was developed entirely in-house using the college’s own technical team and resources.

The system, available through a web platform and a native Android application, was unveiled at a special ceremony chaired by Professor Dr. Deepak Bahadur Shakya, Vice-Chancellor of Madhesh University and patron of the college. BPC Campus Chief Dr. Binay Shrestha was also present at the inauguration.

The college described the launch as an important achievement in academic management and digital learning. By integrating technology into its established administrative and teaching practices, BPC aims to create a more organised and technology-enabled educational environment.

Access through both the web platform and Android app is intended to make academic activities more accessible to students and teachers.

The system is expected to support teaching, learning and overall academic administration. College officials said it was developed to align educational practices with changing technological needs and improve the organisation of academic activities.

According to the college, developing the platform internally demonstrates its capacity to build digital infrastructure tailored to its own requirements while reducing reliance on external technology providers.

Guests, journalists, faculty members, staff and students attended the launch. The college thanked participants and supporters, saying their encouragement would inspire further innovation in digital education.

With the platform now formally operational, BPC aims to expand its use of digital technology and strengthen its transition toward smart education and modern teaching practices.
