The award, presented by College Readers magazine hosted by the University of Greenwich, recognizes Mandal's exceptional contribution to promoting British higher education in Nepal and building robust academic partnerships between the two nations.

Amardeep Mandal's journey as an educationist began when he returned to Nepal in 2010 after completing his postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom. Starting his professional career with The British College in 2011, Mandal has spent over a decade establishing himself as Nepal's leading promoter of British education. His strategic vision and dedication have been instrumental in forging strong academic collaborations with prestigious UK institutions including the University of the West of England, Leeds Beckett University, Keele University, University of Bedfordshire, and the University of Northampton.

Currently serving as the Group Head of the British Education Group, Mandal oversees expansive operations spanning Nepal, Dubai, and Canada. His expertise in business development has significantly shaped the growth trajectory of numerous educational institutions across these regions. This latest recognition adds to his impressive collection of honors, having previously been awarded Best Employee and Best Education Marketer in 2015/16, 2019, and 2020.

Rigorous Selection Process Ensures Merit

The award selection process demonstrated exceptional rigor and transparency, as revealed by Prof. Dr. Deepak Bahadur Shakya, Vice-Chancellor of Madhesh University and Chairperson of the Award Jury Committee. The committee meticulously evaluated over 120 nominations received this year, assessing candidates against comprehensive criteria including academic leadership, innovation, community engagement, institutional management, and global impact. From this highly competitive pool, 29 distinguished individuals and 30 leading institutions were selected for various categories of recognition.

The ceremony, chaired by Mr. Bhawani Prasad Poudel, Patron of College Readers and Campus Chief of Jaya Multiple Campus, brought together an impressive assembly of educational luminaries from both Nepal and the United Kingdom. The event witnessed participation from vice-chancellors, registrars, principals, directors, and representatives from premier educational institutions, underscoring the significance of this international recognition.

Distinguished dignitaries who graced the occasion included Prof. Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya, Vice-Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University; Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya, Registrar of Lumbini Buddhist University; Mr. Vijay Kumar Yadav, Registrar of Madhesh University; Mr. Tika Ram Puri, Former President of PABSON; Mr. Subash Neupane, President of N-PABSAN; Mr. Laxman KC, President of IEPAN; and Mr. Bhagirath Yogi, Editor-in-Chief of South Asia Time UK. The University of Greenwich was represented by Ms. Helen McCormack, reinforcing the institution's commitment to international educational partnerships.

Ms. Claire Matthews, Executive Director of Marketing and Student Relations at the University of Greenwich, expressed genuine enthusiasm about the evolving educational landscape between the UK and Nepal.
