National PABSAN Kathmandu District Holds General Assembly, Elects New Leadership under Hom Bdr. Adhikari

Kathmandu, Chaitra 22 – The National PABSAN Kathmandu District (Foundation Wing) successfully conducted its General District Assembly today at Hotel Royal Airport, Sinamangal, with a massive turnout of members and dignitaries.

The assembly marked the formal establishment of the new leadership structure for Kathmandu District, Budhanilkantha Municipality, and Kathmandu Metropolitan City, following the dissolution of the previous district committee after the 8th Central Convention held in Birgunj on Falgun 15-16.

The assembly elected Hom Bahadur Adhikari (Manoj) as the President of the Kathmandu District Executive Committee. Ishwar K.C. and Laxmi Gurung were elected as Vice-Presidents, Lekhraj Ghimire as Secretary, Prakash Adhikari as Joint Secretary, Vijay Neupane as Treasurer, and Hemant Shrestha as Joint Treasurer. The executive committee members also include Surendra Magar and Ram Prasad Kaflé.

For the Budhanilkantha Municipality Committee, Shri Sudip Kaflé was elected as President, Susmita Mainali as Vice-President, Govind Dhami as Secretary, Narayan Chaulagain as Joint Secretary, Kiran Khadka as Treasurer, Beni Khadka as Joint Treasurer, and Ramis Adhikari and Rukesh Lama as members.

Likewise, for the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Committee, Nilamani Bhattarai was elected as Coordinator, with Rajan Lamsal serving as Co-Coordinator. Committee members include Susmita Shah Mall, Abhinash Shah, Bibhilal Khadka, and Sabina Thapa Khadka.

The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished personalities, including National PABSON’s Central President, Honorable Geeta Rana; outgoing President Pandav Hamal; former Presidents Karna Bahadur Shahi and Rituraj Sapkota; Senior Vice-Presidents Surya Bahadur Adhikari and Subodh Dangi; Secretary Tenzing Bhotiya; and other central executive committee officials.

Secretary Tenzing Bhotiya reaffirmed the organization’s legitimacy, stating, “National PABSAN is solely the organization under President Geeta Rana’s leadership. Any other group claiming to represent PABSAN is illegitimate.”

Senior Vice President Subodh Dangi condemned factionalism, declaring, “No one should try to divide the organization for personal power. Upholding institutional values is our top priority.”

Central President Geeta Rana emphasized unity, saying, “Attempts to split N-PABSAN for selfish motives will never be tolerated. We remain committed to stability, solidarity, and quality education.”

The assembly concluded with a strong message of organizational cohesion and a renewed commitment to N-PABSAN’s mission.
