Nepal Education Award UK-2025 concluded with grandeur and pride on 14th October 2025 at the historic University of Greenwich, London, marking a landmark celebration of excellence, innovation, and educational partnership between Nepal and the United Kingdom. His Excellency Mr. Chandra Kumar Ghimire, Ambassador of Nepal to the United Kingdom, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Ambassador Ghimire highlighted the awards as a symbol of shared values and academic collaboration between the two nations.

Nepal Education Award UK-2025 concluded with grandeur and pride on 14th October 2025 at the historic University of Greenwich, London, marking a landmark celebration of excellence, innovation, and educational partnership between Nepal and the United Kingdom.

His Excellency Mr. Chandra Kumar Ghimire, Ambassador of Nepal to the United Kingdom, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Ambassador Ghimire highlighted the awards as a symbol of shared values and academic collaboration between the two nations.

“Excellence knows no boundaries. Our shared goal is to build a free, just, and inclusive society through knowledge creation and partnership, which will further strengthen the friendship between our two nations,” remarked Ambassador Ghimire.

He further emphasized that higher education continues to play a pivotal role in deepening Nepal–UK relations, noting that Nepali students have become global ambassadors of talent, competitiveness, and cultural diversity. He expressed optimism about the growing academic collaboration between the University of Greenwich and Nepali institutions.

The prestigious event was organized by College Readers magazine under the chairmanship of Mr. Bhawani Prasad Poudel, Patron of College Readers and Campus Chief of Jaya Multiple Campus. The ceremony witnessed an impressive turnout of vice-chancellors, registrars, principals, directors, educators, and representatives from various educational institutions across Nepal and the UK.

Reflecting on the magazine’s 18-year journey, Mr. Jeetendra Ghimire, CEO of College Readers, stated that the awards have consistently honored distinguished individuals and institutions contributing to Nepal’s educational advancement at an international platform.

Prof. Dr. Deepak Bahadur Shakya, Vice-Chancellor of Madhesh University and Chairperson of the Award Jury Committee, informed that over 120 nominations were received this year. Of these, 29 individuals and 30 institutions were recognized for their outstanding performance based on criteria such as academic excellence, leadership, innovation, community engagement, and global vision.

Among the distinguished participants were Prof. Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya (Vice-Chancellor, Lumbini Buddhist University), Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya (Registrar, Lumbini Buddhist University), Mr. Vijay Kumar Yadav (Registrar, Madhesh University), Mr. Tika Ram Puri (Former President, PABSON), Mr. Subash Neupane (President, N-PABSAN), Mr. Laxman KC (President, IEPAN), Mr. Bhagirath Yogi, (Editor-in-Chief, South Asia Time UK), Ms. Helen McCormack (Greenwich University), Prem Khadka (Financial Analyst) and Mr. Rajan Kandel (Director, The British College), all recognized for their exceptional leadership and service to the education sector.

Mr. Keshav Nepal, Executive Editor of College Readers, noted that the UK’s educational culture offers valuable insights for Nepal’s academic growth. “The Nepali education sector is gradually expanding its global recognition through quality, innovation, and international collaboration,” he said.

Representing the University of Greenwich, Ms. Claire Matthews, Executive Director (Marketing and Student Relations), expressed the university’s enthusiasm for deepening institutional partnerships with Nepali colleges and universities.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Bhawani Prasad Poudel, who extended appreciation to all dignitaries, honorees, and the University of Greenwich for their generous support and hospitality. As a gesture of goodwill, the organizing committee presented Tokens of Love to senior university officials.

Nepal Education Awards UK-2025 not only celebrated academic distinction but also reinforced educational diplomacy between Nepal and the United Kingdom—uniting both nations in their shared pursuit of excellence and innovation.
