Imperial Business College is one of the top-notch colleges for business studies, especially BBA and BHCM programs. How far do you agree that the college has fulfilled the objective of its establishment?
Imperial Business College, affiliated to Pokhara University, was established in 2013 AD, but we assumed the ownership in 2016 AD. Currently, the college offers two bachelor’s degree programs: Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), and Bachelor in Health Care Management (BHCM), affiliated to Pokhara University. Since we took over the management of the college, we have been witnessing the number of enrollees and pass rate of students. This could be true we have maintained a sound academic environment with modern IT facilities and different non-academic courses, program and soft skill training. Moreover, we have managed to have well-equipped classrooms with audio–visual facilities, resourceful library which is linked with electronic resources. In addition, our seminar halls, computer labs and ample area for sporting events have underpinned our benchmarks. In this regard, we can proudly say that we have embraced marvelous achievements in terms of academic environment, quality education, physical infrastructures, teaching faculty and equipment within a short span of time. Needless to say, the college has fulfilled the objectives of its establishment in many extents.

It has achieved a great success in providing globally acclaimed courses. Our service to undergraduates of BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) and BHCM (Bachelor of Healthcare Management) is widely considered to be some of the most holistic and rewarding programs in the management stream. The college has qualified and dedicated faculty of teachers and has maintained an amicable academic environment. The college offers BBA and BHCM as the major programs. What type of programs are they?

We cannot distort the course content designed by the University, which is compulsory to follow by all, but along with the curricular activities we provide extra-curricular activities. The college has included elective courses too. We provide soft-skill training to our graduates which makes it certain for students to be the confident in their professional careers. So, our graduates have demonstrated an outstanding performance in the job landing sector, thus they are globally saleable. Many of our graduates have become successful entrepreneurs.
The pandemic threats and crises have compelled us to adopt online classes again reviving physical class gradually. We are not sure that the pandemic will be extinct completely. What is your plan to cope with such kinds of unprecedented challenges that may appear in the future because of pandemic and epidemics?
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought about some positive impacts to human beings despite many negative effects. It taught us to be techno- friendly. In fact, the pandemic opened multiple gateways to enter the digital world of our education system. As a result, we have been able to develop separate applications for different purposes and we are working on making a separate app for student controlling mechanism. Now, we are all set to conduct our teaching and learning activities virtually as per the necessity. So, if any kind of pandemic breaks out in the future, we are fully capable and fully equipped to adopt virtual model of teaching and learning activities.
In your experience, what are the strengths of management programs of Pokhara University?
Pokhara University is a well-trusted institution for management education. The administrative and managerial teams are visionary and far-sighted. It prepares the schedules of all programs throughout the academic year at the very beginning of the first semester. Similarly, the course content of PU is globally competitive and high demandable.
