Grand Finale and Closing Ceremony of Nepal School Mela Online Quiz Contest graced by Ram Prasad Thapaliya, Secretary of Ministry for Education, Science and Technology and chaired by Tikaram Puri, Central Chairperson of Private and Boarding Schools’ Organization Nepal (PABSON) will be virtually held today at 4:00 PM through live-webinar.
About 200 students had participated in Nepal School Mela Online Quiz Contest. Out of which 120 students were eligible for participating in the quiz. 36 contestants who were selected through hit-round had been divided into six groups having 6 in each group and they had competed in the playoff game. Selecting 2/2 winners from each playoff game, 12 contestants had competed in the semi-final game from which 6 have reached the grand finale which is going to be held in the huge presence of more than one thousand principals.
Ashok Acharya from Kanti Secondary School, Butwal; Puskar Chapagain from Occidental School, Anamnagar, Kathmandu; Aarjan Basnet from Tulsi Boarding School, Tulsipur, Dang; Yubraj Panthi from New Horizon School, Butwal; Santosh Bhattarai from Vijaya Samudayik School, Gaindakot, Nawalpur and Kapil Dev Karki from Gwallek School, Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur will have the strong competition for winning the quiz contest. No students will have gone with empty hands. The first-place winner will be awarded Rs 25,000; second place winner Rs 15,000 and third place winner Rs 10,000. It is also informed that consolation prizes will be given to three persons at the rate of Rs 3,000 each. Participation certificates will be provided.

Quiz Contest has been initiated in collaboration with PABSON and is organized by College Readers, the top-notch English magazine in Nepal.
